Starts at 1pm Greenville County Animal Care, 328 Furman Hall Road, Greenville
Ends at 5pm at Velo Fellow, 16 Augusta Street, Greenville
One registration needed for each team of two.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31 AT MIDNIGHT!
The Bulldog Fun Run is an annual fundraiser for Greenville County Animal Care, presented by Upstate MINIs.
This year is the eighth annual event, and starts at 1pm on Sunday, November 3 at Greenville County Animal Care on Furman Hall Road in Greenville.
The Bulldog Fun Run is a unique motoring event featuring only MINIs. Last year, more than 30 MINIs participated. Participants are teams of two – a driver and navigator – and everyone leaves from GCAC at the same time, but headed in different directions. Over the course of the next three to four hours, they will go to five different locations around Greenville County and participate in events that are British in origin and nature. The participants collect points at each stop for how well they do at each activity, and take those points with them to the final destination, Velo Fellow in downtown Greenville.
The fun part is that the stops and activities are a secret until just before we start – so everyone is on a level playing field as far as skill and experience. It’s not a speed run; everyone has plenty of time to get to all the stops and there are no points awarded for fast completion. The top point earner gets possession of a traveling trophy for the next year and a large stuffed bulldog to keep forever.
The fee is a donation of the participants’ choice to GCAC, and can be in the form of cash, check, or material goods that the shelter needs for operation. Late registrations (after October 31) accepted with an additional donation of $50 to GCAC.
