Sassafras Mountain Run. 
Meet between 9:30 and 9:45am at Ingles Markets on Geer Hwy North of Travelers Rest… Wheels up at 10:00am sharp

Hosted by Gene Carter in Caliente: This will be a scenic drive at a moderate pace. We’ll travel from the Travelers Rest Ingles to US 178, and take the turn to the Sassafras Mountain overlook. The view here is spectacular! We won’t spend a lot of time here, but will likely do a group photo on the platform. From there’ we’ll head back to Highway 11 to US25 North with a very pretty loop on Bob’s Creek Rd and Green River Rd ending in Tuxedo, NC for an outdoor picnic lunch. Picnic tables available or bring a folding chair for the nearby grass area. The Convenience store next door has drinks and snacks.
