Put on your hiking boots/shoes and join us for a MINI run from Travelers Rest to DuPont State
Forest in Cedar Mountain NC via Caesars Head for a 4 mile out & back hike to view Hooker Falls
and the spectacular Triple Falls. Enjoy some casual hiking with fellow MINIacs on a mid-spring
morning and take advantage of some great photo ops that will make your FB & Insta- followers
envious! Lunch to follow in historic Brevard, NC.

8:30 am Drivers Meeting – Meet at Ingles in Travelers Rest-1500 Geer Highway, Travelers Rest, SC 29690
8:45 am Wheels up
Motor to Dupont State Forest in Cedar Mountain NC via Highway 276 & Caesars Head
Park at Lake Imaging Trailhead (DuPont is always crowded-hence the early start)

~ 10:00 am Hike! The trails are a combination of double track and gravel access roads. This hike is an out & back totaling 4 miles (80-120 minutes depending on pace and stops). There is only 1 moderately technical section at the very end-which is optional-to get to the best view of Triple Falls. No one will be left behind. There is a Porta-a-Potty at the start/end and a park bathroom at about the mid-way point.

Camera or camera phone (Note: Poor cell service in the area)
~12 noon We will motor onto Brevard NC for lunch at Mayberry’s Soups & Sandwiches (30 W. Main St., Brevard, NC 28712) or lunch on your own. When lunch is completed, you can shop, sightsee in the area, or otherwise enjoy the beautiful mountain town of Brevard and its surrounding attractions (see links below). Return to the Upstate will be on your own.
